The Vision is a one-day interactive celebratory community event featuring Hartford and New Haven’s geniuses. The Vision is a brave space to see what our community is and what our community can be. It is a place to learn, unlearn, listen, hold space, enjoy, and heal. The evening will showcase poetry from Andrew Dean Wright, Puma Simone and Zulynette, music by Ro Godwynn, dance by Savana Jones, an anti-racism workshop facilitated by Ashley Blount. Art will be featured at the theater by Andre Rochester, Shanna Melton, and Zulynette. Photography will be taken by Nikia Randolph.
This event is pay-what-you-want and open to the public. You may attend for free or offer a small donation to support programming like this at Long Wharf. RSVP is strongly encouraged, though all are welcome to attend until our house is full! The event will start promptly at 7:30 PM.
Please note that some presenters may be using adult language. This venue is accessible via a ramp to the theatre, and there is accessible seating for the event. If you have any access needs we should prepare for, please let us know ahead of time by calling the box office at 203-787-4282.
