Led by the visionary Long Wharf Theatre Artistic Ensemble member, Lady Dane Figueroa Edidi, the festival will feature a staged streaming of her new work Shape Shifter. Witness the symphony of voice rising to claim their rightful place at the forefront of the theatrical landscape.

Black Trans Women at the Center was filmed in August and September 2024. We want to acknowledge that this year's Festival comes at a time when the rights of the Black trans community are under attack.
As we continue to grapple with this moment, it is important to honor the Black trans community, our elders and our ancestors whose expansive imaginations, commitment to a better future and tactics of resistance teach us how to overcome oppressive forces.
Now, more than ever, we must affirm the dignity, agency, autonomy, freedom, and self-determination of trans people everywhere.
