About the Program

Since its start in 2020, Black Trans Women at the Center has served over 50 artists. Each season, the selected playwrights work closely with Dane to develop new 10-15 minute plays through a workshop process and one-on-one feedback.

This season’s Black Trans Women at the Center features virtual readings of new plays by Asteria LaFaye Summers, Elisawon Etidorhpa, Eva Reign, Indie Johnson, and Simone Immanuel. After the readings, stick around for a panel discussion with the artists to learn more about the writing process.
