THE DESIGN:

As colleagues and neighbors in New York City, David Cale (Floyd and Clea under the Western Sky) and Dael Orlandersmith (Yellowman) have been admirers of each others work, but never found an opportunity to collaborate until now.

In this new piece, two of America's strongest playwright/performers explore what it means to be "other" through their own personal experience and the characters they have created.

THE BACKSTAGE PASS:

Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein commissioned David and Dale to create this unique theatrical event for Long Wharf Theatre.

THE CURTAIN CALL:

David Cale has received Obie Awards, Bessie Awards, a NEA Fellowship, and a Sundance Institute Fellowship. Dael Orlandersmith is an Obie Award-winner and a Pulitzer Prize and Drama Desk Award nominee.
