“Taking part in Long Wharf Theatre Studio has made me a better student and a better actress.”

Reaching outside the realm of schools, the Long Wharf Theatre Studio addresses the myriad needs of the broadly diverse community of Greater New Haven.

Now in its fourth year, the studio allows students to be part of the Long Wharf Theatre family by offering special one-day workshops and week-long theatre camps.

Workshops for the Summer 2008 Theatre Studio include:

  • PLAY ON STAGE
Enjoy a week-long class where all we do is play! Group activities in music, dance, and storytelling will strengthen your child’s imagination and ability to work and play together.

  • ReACT NOW!
Spend the week exploring contemporary monologues and duet scenes by bringing words from the page onto the stage.  Utilizing basic acting technique, focus exercises and scenes from masters such as Williams, Miller, and Odets, students will learn how to listen, respond, and actively engage with the text and each other.
