DIRECTIONS AND INFORMATION

Long Wharf Theatre is located directly off Exit 46 of I-95, near the junction of I-95, I-91 and Route 34. Parking is free in a lighted, secure lot.

BY CAR

From New York: Take I-95 North to Exit 46. Go left at stop sign at end of ramp, left at first light, (takes you under I-95), left at next light (takes you onto Sargent Drive), then right at next light between the Mobil gas station and the Bank of America. Long Wharf Theatre is on your left, halfway back in the Food Terminal lot.

From Trumbull: Take Merritt Parkway North (Rt. 15) and take the Milford Connector to I-95 North to Exit 46. Follow directions above.

From Boston: Take I-90 West to I-84 West and continue to the Hartford area. Take Exit 57 to I-91 South, Continue on I-91 to New Haven, then get on I-95 South. Take Exit 46 off I-95. Go right at stop sign at end of ramp, then take an immediate left between the Mobil gas station and the Bank of America. Long Wharf Theatre is on your left, halfway back in the Food Terminal lot.

From Waterbury: Take Route 8 South to Route 63, which becomes Whalley Avenue in New Haven. Continue on Whalley to Broadway and then Elm Street, along the Yale University campus. Turn right on State Street (Route 5), and go about 1/2 mile. Turn left on Water Street and go about 3/10 mile. Turn right on Brewery Street. Follow Brewery Street past the Ikea store and continue on Sargent Drive. Turn right between the Mobil gas station and the Bank of America. Long Wharf Theatre is on your left, halfway back in the Food Terminal lot.

From Danbury: Take I-84 East to Route 34 and continue to New Haven. Turn right onto Ella Grasso Blvd. (Route 10), then left at the second light onto Legion Avenue. Continue onto Route 34 East, then bear right onto the ramp for I-95 South (towards New York City). Take I-95 South to Exit 46 (first exit), then take a right and an immediate left between the Mobil gas station and the Bank of America. Long Wharf Theatre is on your left, halfway back in the Food Terminal lot.

BY TRAIN

Long Wharf Theatre is minutes away by cab from Union Station in New Haven. Metro-North and Amtrak trains run frequently from both Grand Central Terminal (800-223-6052) and Penn Station (800-USA-RAIL) in New York City, and from Boston's South Station (800-USA-RAIL).

The Long Wharf Theatre Stages
Long Wharf Theatre is home to two stages; the 486-seat thrust Mainstage and the 204-seat proscenium Stage II.

Special Services
Long Wharf Theatre is fully handicapped accessible for those with disabilities. Designated parking is located at the front and far right of the theatre, with a ramp located to the far right as well. Both the C. Newton Schenck Mainstage and Stage II are equipped with an infrared listening system for the hearing impaired. Headsets are available at the bar and are free with ID. Please inform the Box Office prior to the performance if wheelchair seating will be required for anyone in your party. If you need special assistance, please give us time to help you safely by arriving early. The house staff will happily assist those in wheelchairs to their seats.

Cancelled Performances
If circumstances force Long Wharf Theatre to cancel your scheduled performance, we will contact you to choose an alternative date.

Tickets and Tax Donations
While refunds are not available, you may donate your tickets to Long Wharf Theatre as a tax-deductible contribution. To receive a tax-deduction, the Box Office must receive the tickets prior to the show date. By doing so, your tickets become available for subscriber exchanges and to those who might have been turned away due to a sold out performance. Acknowledgement of your contribution will be mailed within two weeks of the show's close. If you plan to donate your tickets, you may do so by returning them in person or by calling the Box Office prior to your performance. Callers will need to mail their unused tickets before their contribution can be acknowledged.

Theatre Bar
Refreshments - wine, beer, mixed and soft drinks, and snacks - are available before performances and at intermission at the lobby bar. Drinks may be ordered in advance for intermission.

Theatre Courtesy
Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the management. For your own safety, we ask that you remain seated until the house lights go up.

Children under the age of 4 are discouraged from attending performances.

Beepers and Cell Phones
Please turn all beepers, cell phones and chiming watches to the "silent mode" while inside the theatre. If you would like to leave your beeper or cell phone at the concession bar with your name and seat number, we will notify you if necessary. Emergency-only telephone number is (203) 477-5614 (beeper).

Emergency Contact Number
If you are a physician on call or a parent with a baby-sitter, we ask that you leave your name and seat location with the house manager. Please instruct anyone who may need to reach you during a performance to call our main administrative number, 203-787-4284, and choose option 7 to page the house manager who will attempt to locate you at a suitable break.

Photography
The taking of photographs or recordings of any kind during the performances without written permission from Long Wharf Theatre is strictly prohibited.

Smoking
Smoking is prohibited everywhere in the theatre.
